Divided we stand, all for one.
At Redbrick Offices, we encourage our members, teams and visitors to our coworking spaces, to come together and bond as a community. We spend a lot of time and effort to create platforms and spaces to facilitate connections and celebrate the resulting serendipity. However, in light of COVID19, we have cancelled all our events and are asking people to maintain a distance from each other.
Social Distancing: If you must come to work, or move outside your house for essential work – please follow social distancing. Maintain a distance of 1m between yourself and others at all times. Minimise shaking hands, hugging or other physical contact and wear a mask and gloves where possible. Here’s the guidance from the government on the same. https://www.mohfw.gov.in/SocialDistancingAdvisorybyMOHFW.pdf
Isolation: If you are concerned about going out or are not feeling well – the best thing you can do is to self-isolate. Stay in, stay safe, Netflix & chill. Watch the news to stay informed, but if it is making you more anxious – switch it off. Mental health is important. However, physical isolation needn’t mean lack of connection – call your family, video call those friends who you haven’t seen in a long time, make up with the boyfriend whose heart you broke. Seldom do we get time to sit back and reflect on our lives and rebuild it how we want. Oh, I forgot to mention – make sure you do ‘some’ work from home!
Quarantine: If you are showing symptoms of COVID19 (fever, sore throat, dry cough, runny nose, breathlessness) – the central helpline number to call is +91-11-23978046 or Toll Free No. is 1075 (state wise numbers can be found here: https://www.mohfw.gov.in/coronvavirushelplinenumber.pdf. You will be tested and quarantined and given proper treatment. The quarantine is not just for safety of others, but your safety as well. If you are just unwell, your immune system is down and that makes you more susceptible to the virus. Follow quarantine procedures diligently, the world is praying for your quick recovery.
So, we are being to stay away from each other. This goes completely against the grain of what we stand for, as we truly believe in the power of community and design our workspaces with collaboration and connection as paramount outcomes of the design.
While we might not be able to occupy the same physical space – does that really mean we are not together? I think today, we must stay apart because we stand together as one – the human race has hardly ever been so united against one thing. By maintaining our distance, practicing restraint and limiting our contact with others we demonstrate our strength, our oneness, our care and our love for each other. So, whether you’re social distancing, self-isolating or in quarantine – we are all with you. The entire Redbrick Offices family and community is with you. Stay safe, stay healthy, stay together in mind and spirit. Together, let’s find a new path to freedom.
